You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.\r\nJob responsibilities\r\nDesign, code, test, and deliver full-stack workflow features end-to-end.\r\nBuild backend services and integrations primarily in Java and Python.\r\nBuild and consume REST APIs (GraphQL a plus) across internal and external services.\r\nLeverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.\r\nApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.\r\nContribute to retrieval patterns (RAG), embeddings usage, and semantic search integrations where needed.\r\nWrite secure, high-quality, well-tested code using engineering best practices.\r\nParticipate in code reviews and improve test coverage and maintainability.\r\nUse CI/CD practices to ship reliably and improve operational stability.\r\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues with awareness of upstream/downstream impacts.\r\nCollaborate with product, platform, and engineering partners to deliver outcomes and communicate progress.\r\nRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills\r\nFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience\r\nDemonstrated ability coding and debugging in Java and Python.\r\nFull-stack development experience across services/APIs and UI components.\r\nHands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.\r\nExperience across the SDLC with exposure to agile delivery practices.\r\nWorking knowledge of CI/CD workflows and modern delivery toolchains.\r\nPractical understanding of secure-coding practices and application security fundamentals.\r\nWorking knowledge of SQL and data fundamentals that support reliable feature behavior.\r\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills; effective collaboration in distributed teams.\r\nHands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.\r\nUnderstanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.\r\nPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills\r\nServiceNow development exposure (App Engine, scripting, Flow Designer, Integration Hub)\r\nExperience with RAG, vector databases, and semantic/hybrid search in production settings.\r\nFamiliarity with event-driven integration patterns (e.g., MQ/Kafka) and observability practices.\r\nFEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT\r\nThis position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
