The Reconciliations Specialist at FirstService Financial Inc. will support the accuracy and integrity of financial data by performing monthly reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate revenue reporting.
Your Responsibilities
Perform monthly audit and reconciliation of all revenues, bank, and general ledger accounts
Identify any timing differences, variances and reconciling items
Analyze revenue data from our partners and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain reconciliation schedules and support documentation for month end close
Monitor open reconciling items, follow up on outstanding issues and ensure timely resolution in accordance with internal policies and procedures
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and controls
Assist with month end close where needed
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, reconciliation, finance, or a related discipline supporting daily financial processes
Proven experience with Excel
Critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey data insights effectively to all stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
