Shipping and Receiving Clerk
AVADirect, a recognized and growing leader in the custom computer industry, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our Twinsburg, Ohio location. This candidate will be responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise into and out of the warehouse facility, along with assisting the Shipping and Receiving Manager in daily tasks, training procedures, quality assurance, and shipment control.
Key Responsibilities:
Posts weight and shipping charges.
Prepares bills of lading.
Photographing all systems prior to shipment.
Unload and process incoming stock.
Process outbound shipments of inventory via UPS, USPS, FedEx, commercial carrier and will calls.
Move, store and transfer materials, supplies and merchandise in and about a warehouse, loading dock and storage area.
Performs manual, computer or RF functions to enter data in systems.
Maintain stock in an organized fashion on shelves or in proper locations.
Maintain warehouse in a clean and safe condition.
Climb ladders to maintain upper level areas.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
Current certifications preferred.
Ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 50 pounds and 80 pounds.
Ability to read, write and perform basic math and computer operations.
Ability to follow instructions and take directions.
Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately.
Physical activity to include standing and walking up to 8 – 9 hours with scheduled breaks.
Attention to detail.
Prior experience shipping & receiving helpful.
