{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"757851ee18d5294d9a2ff3ec","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/757851ee18d5294d9a2ff3ec","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/757851ee18d5294d9a2ff3ec","title":"Expert Software Systems Developer","description":"Description:\n\nMarkon is seeking an experienced Expert Software Systems Developer with experience supporting multiple software integrations/development projects in support of an IC Customer in Herndon, VA.\n\nThe ideal candidate will bring advanced technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior government stakeholders.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities\nDevelops codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software\nPerforms maintenance on existing software products and contributes knowledge of business applications\nWrites programs according to specifications needed.\nWorks with technical staff to understand problems had with software and then resolve them\nResolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements\nDevelops block diagrams and logic flow charts\nProvides technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met\nSoftware version control baseline documentation\nDevelop project schedules, timelines\nLeverage experience across the Center, Group and external offices\nCoordinate with Customer’s security elements for Project Certification and Accreditation\nExperience with VPN technologies and protocols including IPSEC and SSL\nExperience in authoring documents (reports, briefings, etc,) to support customer missions.\nCommunicates with staff or clients to understand specific systems requirements\nProvides advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes\nTrains system users in system operation or maintenance\nResearches, tests, and/or verifies proper functioning of software patches and fixes\nQualifications:\n\nRequired\n\nAn Active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Poly (Preferably from this client)\nBachelor's degree in computer science or related field\nAdditional years of experience may substitute the lack of a related degree\n9+ years of experience in software development, backend integration support, and systems development.\nExperience coding in Windows Powershell\nExperience in Puppet, C2S, SQL, Ruby, JAVA, C++, and .net software languages and supporting libraries\nExcellent understanding of communications/email protocol API implementation\nMust have knowledge of virtual administration and secure Virtual Private Networking.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nHighly mission-focused/oriented\nDevelops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions.\nAbility to effectively manage several projects simultaneously in a rapidly paced environment\nWorking knowledge of Customer’s organization, internal policies, and processes\nExcellent knowledge of Customer’s software development cycle and O&M processes\nPrior experience working with IC organizations\n\nDesired:\n\nWorking knowledge of Customers official messaging system\nAbility to design/deliver customer web-based email client and server applications\nAbility to implement business process and workflow into custom email applications\nKnowledge of PKI key and LDAP implementation\nAbility to interface web application with remote relational database infrastructure\nSalary Range: USD $180,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.\n\nThe Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
