Primary duties are to provide planning, estimating, scheduling, engineering, project management and administrative services with a primary work location at NSA Naples (Capodichino) but with temporary travel trips to NSA Bahrain. NSA Bahrain is comprised of four (4) installations known as NSA 1, NSA 2, NSA 3 and Isa Air Base.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nBe a U.S Citizen\n\nHave a valid driver’s license\n\nEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\n\nRegistration as Professional Engineer (PE) in the discipline of civil engineering – structural is desirable.\n\nMinimum of 5 years of professional civil engineering - structural code compliant facilities design experience for new construction, including renovation design experience, is required.\n\nCompletion of a course of studies accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineers and Technology (ABET) for a civil engineering program from a college or university for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis in structural engineering, supplemented by a considerable amount of hands-on facilities design experience.\n\nProvides independent, timely and professional structural engineering support, services and consultation for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including specific projects, special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development.\n\nParticipate in conferences with project stakeholders and collaborates with other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with specific project requirements.\n\nBroad professional knowledge and practical application of civil/structural engineering concepts, theories, principles, practices, and techniques necessary to plan, design, construct and maintain a wide range of shore-based engineering projects.\n\nKnowledge of DoD and Navy guide specifications, criteria, policy, industry codes and standards, and standard practices as related to structural engineering design, including the International Building Code, and ASCE 7 (Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures).\n\nKnowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting structural engineering design throughout the NAVFAC EURAFCENT AOR.\n\nKnowledge of related architectural and engineering fields and their associated impacts as related to structural engineering design.\n\nAbility to produce results of analysis in writing and consolidate findings of others and evaluate recommendations and facts.\n\nAbility to make oral presentations of proposed designs and results of studies.\n\nKnowledge of budgeting, planning and project management techniques, including the ability to coordinate the work of others and lead teams.\n\nKnowledge of and full compliance with Safety Policy and Guidance and use of personal protective equipment.\n\nPOSITION TIMING: Immediate hire upon contract award and completion of all background and security investigations.\n\nBENEFITS: Health, Dental, and Vision, 401(k), Vacation, Sick Leave, and 11 Paid Federal Holidays including:\n\nNew Year’s Day\n\nMartin Luther King, Jr. Day\n\nPresidents Birthday\n\nMemorial Day\n\nJuneteenth\n\nIndependence Day\n\nLabor Day\n\nColumbus Day\n\nVeterans Day\n\nThanksgiving Day\n\nChristmas Day\n\nLaredo Technical Services, Inc.
