We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team.\r\nJob Title: PI Developer\r\nLocation(s): White plains, NY\r\nProject Overview\r\nThe person in this role will be responsible for upgrading all the PI interfaces across sites and WPO. There are approximately 200 interfaces on all over PI servers all of which are currently running legacy versions. In addition, the person in this role will also be working on developing the PI system monitoring within PI Asset framework that provides insights into interfaces, buffers, data points, archives, AF & Vision. The person in this role is also going to provide support to Agile LAB PI implementation project.\r\nJob Functions & Responsibilities\r\nWorked extensively on OSISoft PI product suite and understanding of other operations and engineering applications like Digital Oil Field (IFM, IVM), Matrikon OPC, OPC UA/DA, RTACs, Data Historians etc.\r\nUpgrade/Backup & Restore/Infrastructure refresh of PI Systems followed by co-ordination activities among DBAs, Change management reps., Server team, network team etc.\r\nPI Server health monitoring using performance counters, health tags or dashboards.\r\nCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional specifications.\r\nProvide production support and resolve user issues with system performance, availability, and functionality.\r\nWork directly with client team members and colleagues to achieve project goals.\r\nDevelop and share functional and business expertise with the team.\r\nSkills\r\nKnowledge of systems and software debugging. Experience using standard application development design, report, and project management tools.\r\nProven ability to install and configure systems specific to their software infrastructure.\r\nDemonstrated ability troubleshooting software and system problems that involve software infrastructure modules and appropriately refers hardware issues.\r\nAbility to monitor and maintain performance metrics for system features recommend and take corrective/preventative actions.\r\nDemonstrated ability to direct and/or conduct implementation of enhancements or changes that may involve custom design, optional software, and third-party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems.\r\nExperience with configuration, change management, and testing activities.\r\nExperience as an active team member in system-wide/cross-functional teams on successful technology projects. Technical knowledge of all phases of software implementation and support.\r\nAbility to deploy solutions to the operational production environment.\r\nBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.\r\nSix years of experience supporting applications like Aveva/OSI PI, Client Smart Signal, Eta PRO, Client APM etc.\r\nProficient with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 and strong technical (hands on) understanding of operating systems.\r\nDemonstrated understanding of Active directory / DNS; User and User Rights management / File System Rights (NTFS Permissions); security configuration and implementation; group policy management; and backup systems/ data backup management.\r\nExperience with relational databases and experience in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL scripting.\r\nEducation & Certifications\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical/business discipline/equivalent work experience.\r\nMinimum of 6 to 8 years of experience with Aveva/OSI PI.\r\nAmpcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
