This role is responsible for ensuring all welding activities meet ASME codes, customer specifications, and company safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on welding knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to drive production while maintaining a safe work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead welding personnel to meet quality, safety, and production goalsEnsure compliance with ASME codes, customer specifications, WPSs, and PQRsCoordinate with fabrication, engineering, and quality teams to support production flowConduct daily toolbox talks and ensure Safety Task Assessments (STAs) and safety audits are completedEnforce PPE usage and safety policies at allRead and interpret isometric and piping drawings; work with Engineering on corrections as neededOversee manual and automated welding operations and trainingManage welding productivity targets:Hand Welder Booths: 60 diameter inches per 8-hour shiftRoto Weld Booth: 160 diameter inches per 8-hour shiftTrack and report daily production metrics, including diameter inches, scrap, manpower, and recovery plansEnsure weld documentation is accurately entered in Odoo at the end of each shiftCoordinate minor maintenance for welding equipmentManage welding consumables and controlled weld wire issuanceMaintain housekeeping standards in the welding departmentParticipate in daily production (POD) meetings and report to managementUphold a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environmentAdditional DutiesProvide supervisory coverage when needed in absence of another supervisorPerform periodic weld wire and material verification checksRequired Qualifications5+ years of fabrication experienceProven experience supervising welding operationsStrong knowledge of GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, and STT welding processesAbility to read and interpret isometric and orthographic drawingsUnderstanding of Radiographic Testing (RT) overlaysBasic computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, Procore, Odoo or similar systems)Preferred QualificationsCertified Welding Inspector (CWI)Experience with automatic or robotic weldingAbility to operate mobile equipmentTeam Leadership & DevelopmentBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing teams acrossEstablish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics aligned withWhy Join UsStable workload with clear production targetsStrong emphasis on safety and qualityOpportunity to lead skilled trades professionalsCompetitive pay and benefitsWhy Join Us?We’re committed to attracting talented individuals who seek a company with a strong foundation of success and an outstanding culture.
