The Digital Transformation Office (DTO) collaborates with a broad range of stakeholders involved in the clinical development process (e.g., Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Medical Writing, Quality, Regulatory). Their work will cross multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, neuroscience, metabolism, and infectious disease. Their work will directly impact our ability to create and deliver innovative solutions that leverage AI to solve complex problems and enhance user experiences.\nThe Opportunity:\nDevelop software which leverages AI/LLMs for text processing and generation.\nCode Quality and Documentation: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.\nResearch and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI and machine learning. Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to continuously improve our solutions.\nCreate pleasing UIs to give our users seamless access to our tools.\nCollaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate generative AI capabilities into our products and services.\nDeployment and Monitoring: Develop and maintain robust deployment pipelines for AI-enhanced applications. Monitor pipeline performance in production and implement necessary improvement.\nWho You Are:\nAn experienced full stack developer capable of bringing your expertise to our existing and upcoming AI applications/projects as both a leader and individual contributor.\nSomeone with a clear understanding of the current landscape of AI & AI-based applications, including potential benefits, limitations, and standard of practice.\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 5+ years of full stack development experience.\nProven 5+ years of experience in Python server-side development.and proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript.\n2+ years experience with front-end frameworks (preferably Vue) and 2+ years of developing and deploying AI/ML solutions or applications.\nFamiliarity with prompt engineering and experience with Huggingface, Langchain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.\nDemonstrated proficiency with version control systems (Git) Proficiency with containerized workflows and architectures.\nStrong automated software testing skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nFamiliar with Agile methodologies and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of tackling complex technical challenges.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.\nExperience building RESTful APIs (with e.g. Python FastAPI) and proficiency in developing Microsoft Word add-ins using the Word JavaScript API.\nExperience with web technologies like JWT, WebSockets, etc., with CRDT technologies like Yjs and with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).\nSound knowledge of DevOps, infrastructure, and continuous integration concepts.\nExperience building AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and integrating LLMs into applications for tasks like text generation, summarization, and classification and relevant experience in healthcare-related NLP.\nRelocation benefits are not available for this job posting.\nThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $165,200 - $306,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
