This role ensures timely recognition and reporting of any cardiac rhythm changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff or physician, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care during the night shift.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nContinuously monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms via telemetry equipment.\nAccurately identify and interpret arrhythmias and promptly notify nursing staff of any significant changes.\nDocument rhythm strips per policy and maintain accurate telemetry records.\nEnsure proper electrode placement and signal quality; troubleshoot monitor and lead issues as needed.\nAssist in admitting and discharging patients from telemetry monitoring systems.\nMaintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA standards.\nCollaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members.\nMaintain a clean and organized monitoring station.\nParticipate in continuing education and competency assessments related to cardiac monitoring.\nAdhere to all hospital and departmental policies, including safety and infection control standards.\nQualifications:\n\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required.\nExperience: 1 year experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring preferred.\nCertification:\nCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (through AHA).\nCompletion of an approved EKG/Telemetry interpretation course preferred.\nPrecision Scans is an equal opportunity employer, committed to cultural diversity.
