As we expand our footprint, we’re seeking an Estimator who knows the industry, has strong relationships, and can hit the ground running.We’re looking for a results-driven Estimator with a proven track record in the asphalt and paving industry. The ideal candidate will have deep connections with property managers, developers, and contractors, and will be responsible for generating leads, preparing accurate estimates, and closing deals that align with our growth strategy.DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, and designs for accurate cost estimationPerform material takeoffs and develop pricing proposals for paving/asphalt projectsOversee project scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and resource planningEnsure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to deadlines on job sitesCollaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors for seamless project executionMitigate risk and troubleshoot issues to keep projects on trackProvide progress updates to internal and external stakeholdersGenerate new business / client prospectingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and other members of the Charlotte Materials team.Must be able to multi-task and problem solveMust have strong individual work ethic and be ready and willing to learn.QUALIFICATIONS: General computer skills required. Experience with takeoff software such as Bluebeam software preferred, but not required.Construction work experience not required, but a familiarity with job plans and the general construction process is helpfulExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to manage tasks independently and perform effectively in a team environmentWillingness to travel locally within a 1-hour radius of Charlotte. Valid Driver’s License required
