This role includes supervision of staff and active problem solving with members.\nSecondary Function:\nAssist with community events and volunteer engagement.\nKEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):\nPrepare Youth for Success\nPlan and oversee the administration of club programs and activities which support Youth Development Outcomes:\n· Implement Club program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.\n· Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.\n· Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).\n· Demonstrate leadership to assure the conduct, safety and development of members.\nProgram Development and Implementation\n2. Support the development, implementation and evaluation of Club programs, goals and settings that ensure the health, safety and growth of members.\n3. Maintain a healthy and safe environment including facilities, equipment and supplies\n4. Evaluate Club programs on a continual basis and verify programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.\nLeadership / Supervision\nOversee staff running programs at the Club and provide support to Site Director\nAssist Site Director in recruitment, training and monitoring of staff and volunteers\nServe as Ad Hoc Site Director at Club when Site Director is out of the building as assigned\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nConsult with parents concerning member and unit issues.\nPlan weekly staff meetings with Site Director\nAttend trainings for both program and personal development\nMay need to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, functions, and/or shop for supplies. Employees are paid mileage for use of their vehicle\nRELATIONSHIPS:\nInternal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club\nMembers, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.\nExternal: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other to assist in resolving problems.\nSKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:\n· Associate Degree or equivalent experience in related field.\n· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.\n· Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.\n· Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.\n· Willingness to take CPR, 1st Aid and Child Abuse Prevention Training\nDisclaimer:\nThe information presented in this description indicates to be general in nature and an indication of the level of work expected of employees in this classification.
