This role involves close collaboration with the data modernization teams at ITD and DPH to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives.ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategiesDesign, develop and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systemsUtilize AWS services within application architectureDevelop, test, debug and deliver within the timeline using best tools and best practices availableParticipate in code reviews, ensure security best practices, and maintain clean, efficient codeMonitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliabilityAbility to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challengesEnsures adherence to standards and best practicesWork with product manager, business stakeholders, and other team members to refine requirements and deliver solutionsKnowledge and Experience: Experience in modernizing legacy applications, including refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environmentProficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise-level Data LakesExperience working with any transactional or RDMS databasesKnowledge/experience using any ETL tools, experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is a plusMust have experience/familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environmentsRequired Skills5 Years - Proficient in using various AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, Athena) to build and manage cloud7 Years - Experience in software development with hands‐on skills in Java - strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework & hibernate technology5 Years - Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development5 Years - Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems5 Years - Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools7 Years - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders3 Years - Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs, data pipelines with high volumes of dataDesired Skills2 Years - Experience with data analytics, business intelligence solutions (like Power BI or AWS QuickSight)AWS CertificationThis opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
