Your success is our success.\r\nJob Summary\r\nData Engineers design, build, and maintain robust data systems and pipelines that enable high-quality, efficient data delivery for analytics and data science. They are experts in both on-premises and cloud-based data systems, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for consumption by analysts and scientists.\r\nThe IT Data Engineer will work as part of a skilled and collaborative data engineering team building data pipelines to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making. The position's primary role is to leverage enterprise data focusing on scalable solutions, data governance, and continuous improvement of data architecture.\r\nAt Textron Aviation, we are building a community of Data & Analytics professionals with an emphasis on collaboration and cross functional support. You will have the opportunity to work closely with your peers throughout the organization toward a vision of data driven strategy.\r\nJob Responsibilities\r\nBuild and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python, and ETL tools.\r\nSupport data ingestion, transformation, and integration from diverse sources.\r\nDocument data flows and contribute to data quality and governance practices.\r\nDevelop foundational understanding of business domains and data requirements.\r\nTroubleshoot basic data issues and support operational data needs.\r\nEducation / Experience:\r\nBachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field/coursework.\r\nAviation experience preferred.\r\nQualifications\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\r\nPractical experience with SQL, Python, and ETL tools.\r\nFamiliarity with data modeling and database design.\r\nBasic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and on-premises infrastructure.\r\nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve basic data issues.\r\nDesire and ability to learn new technologies and tools.\r\nTextron Aviation Inc. must comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations.
