Leasing Consultant

Job Description Career Strategies is seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant for temp and temp to-hire opportunities supporting communities throughout the Los Angeles area. This role is ideal for professionals with 6 months to 1 year of hands-on leasing experience who are looking to grow into a long-term position with a property after demonstrating strong performance, reliability, and cultural fit.As a Leasing Consultant, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective and current residents, supporting leasing operations, driving occupancy, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist prospective residents by conducting property tours and presenting available unitsManage leasing leads through follow-up, outreach, and conversion of prospects into executed leasesProcess rental applications, lease agreements, and move-in documentation accurately and efficientlyMaintain working knowledge of pricing, availability, market trends, and competitor communitiesBuild and maintain positive resident relationships while addressing questions or concerns professionallyAssist with property inspections to ensure leasing areas, models, and common spaces meet presentation standardsSupport marketing and outreach efforts, including online listings and community engagementParticipate in resident events and leasing initiatives to promote retention and satisfactionQualificationsMinimum 6 months to 1 year of leasing or property management experience requiredFamiliarity with Yardi, AppFolio, or similar property management softwareStrong customer service, sales, and communication skillsDetail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Availability to work weekends as requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in real estate or business is a plusEmployment DetailsTemp-to-Hire opportunity with potential for direct placement based on performance and property needsWeekly pay during the temporary assignmentCareer Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers qualified applicants in accordance with state and federal laws, including the Ventura County Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.#ZrWH1
