This role is responsible for establishing data governance, defining data\nwarehousing strategy, and creating a roadmap that transforms disparate data sources into a unified,\nwell-managed asset.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\nData Strategy and Governance\n\nDevelop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards,\nand procedures for effective data management\n\nEstablish data stewardship models and assign roles and responsibilities for data ownership\nacross business units\n\nCreate and enforce policies for data quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability\nof data assets\n\nDefine data sharing rules and access controls appropriate for a regulated financial\ninstitution\nData Architecture and Warehousing\n\nDefine and execute data warehousing strategy to centralize data from disparate source\nsystems\n\nOversee data integration initiatives, establishing processes to consolidate and correlate data\nwith appropriate validation\n\nEvaluate and recommend data platform technologies aligned with organizational needs and existing\ninfrastructure\n\nDesign data delivery mechanisms that provide stakeholders with timely, accurate, and actionable\ninformation\nProgram Management\n\nCreate and maintain a comprehensive data inventory across all business units, systems, and\nvendor relationships\n\nDevelop a multi-year roadmap for data initiatives with clear milestones, resource requirements,\nand success metrics\n\nAssess existing tools and technologies across business units, identifying opportunities for\noptimization or consolidation\n\nManage relationships with external partners, including technology vendors and consulting\nfirms\n\nEstablish and chair data governance committees or working groups as appropriate\nCompliance and Security\n\nEnsure data management practices comply with applicable banking regulations, including\nthe\nGramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and BSA/AML requirements\n\nImplement data security controls and procedures to protect sensitive customer and organizational\ninformation\n\nPartner with compliance, risk, and IT teams to address regulatory requirements related to data\nhandling and privacy\nStakeholder Engagement\n\nCollaborate with executive leadership, business units, and IT to align data initiatives with\norganizational objectives\n\nTranslate technical data concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders\nBuild organizational data literacy by educating teams on data capabilities, governance, and best\npractices\n\nTransform manual, ad-hoc reporting processes into standardized, validated, and repeatable\napproaches\nOTHER DUTIES:\n\nKeep current of banking industry, banking systems, digital trends, regulation changes\nCreate and maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers while maintaining\ntimely and prompt daily attendance.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:\n\n5+ years related experience in data governance, business intelligence or related roles\nExperience developing data management programs, governance frameworks, or data strategy\ninitiatives\n\nExperience in banking, financial services or other regulated industries preferred but not\nrequired\n\nAbility to develop long-term vision while managing tactical execution\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills;
