Specific opportunities, responsibilities, and availability may vary by office.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDepending on the internship assignment, responsibilities may include:\n\nAssisting with the planning, design, and development of infrastructure and community-based projects\nSupporting project teams with calculations, research, data collection, documentation, and other technical tasks\nPreparing or updating plans, drawings, maps, exhibits, reports, and project records\nParticipating in fieldwork, surveying, construction observation, site visits, or data collection\nAssisting with CADD, GIS, design, or other industry-related software\nWorking collaboratively with engineers, surveyors, planners, landscape architects, technicians, construction staff, and other professionals\nAttending team meetings and learning about project coordination, communication, and client service\nFollowing company procedures and applicable quality and safety standards\nCompleting other duties and learning opportunities as assigned\nQualifications\nCurrently enrolled in a college, university, or technical program related to civil engineering, surveying, construction management, CADD, planning, landscape architecture, GIS, environmental science, or another related field\nInterest in gaining hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment\nStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills\nWillingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and learn from others\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs\nFamiliarity with industry-related software is helpful but not required\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites may be required for certain assignments\nPhysical Requirements\n\nPhysical requirements will vary based on the internship assignment. Some positions may require working outdoors, walking over uneven terrain, standing for extended periods, lifting equipment or materials, and working in varying weather conditions.
