DescriptionSustainability Assurance Analyst - TemporaryEnviron Energy is seeking a temporary Analyst for its Sustainability Assurance team. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution and delivery of services within their portfolio and supports ongoing process improvement and communications efforts. This role reports to the Director of the Sustainability Assurance team.About EnvironEnviron is a leading energy management firm that helps large commercial and industrial clients reduce carbon emissions and achieve sustainability by improving building energy efficiency, facilitating clean energy procurement, increasing resiliency, boosting regulatory compliance, tracking carbon and meeting ESG commitments. Environ is highly acquisitive and recently added leading edge carbon tracking and ESG reporting to its portfolio, with additional diversified acquisitions already in the pipeline.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAn understanding of greenhouse gas emissions sources, categories and accounting principles; preference for knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting (GHG Protocol), target-setting methodologies and/or GHG management systemsKnowledge of sustainability reporting mechanisms, such as the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, SASB Standards, CDP, EU CSRD, GRESB, and TCFD recommendations is a plusExperience in conducting audit and/or assurance activities is a plusTalent to balance priorities and work quickly across multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment with limited guidanceIntermediate-to-advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data manipulation, pivot tables, etc.), familiar with data manipulation, visualization and data presentation tools and best practicesAbility to work in virtual settings and on a variety of cloud-based systemsStrong people skills, with a proven ability to build trusted working relationshipsEffective written and oral communication skills and ability to convey complex information in a clear mannerCollaborative team-oriented styleStrong project management skillsRequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Project Support: Support the delivery of client projects, monitoring timelines, budgets, and quality standardsInformation Collection and Management: Gather information from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and reliability, and managing process documentationData Analysis: Leverage statistical tools and analytical techniques to analyze data, identifying trends, patterns, and relationships within the dataQuality Assurance: Support quality assurance efforts by helping to implement project standards and practices that ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomesEducation And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental science, or a related field.2+ years of related experience, preferably in sustainability, environmental data analysis or a related field.Relevant certifications preferred (e.g. Accountability Sustainability Practitioner, GRI Professional Certification, GRESB Accredited Professional)PerksFull-time, fully remote positionOccasional company-paid travel may be requiredFull health benefits (medical, dental, vision) with a dental buy-up option10 company-paid holidaysCompetitive PTO policyPaid volunteer time off to be able to give back to your community401k (pre-tax and Roth) benefits with company matchCompany sponsored Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insuranceThis is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States.
