Paramount, CA.\nThe Quality Process Controller position involves sampling, measuring and verifying that manufactured products meet pre-determined quality standards.\n\nKey Performance Indicators\n\nSafety adherence; to include all forklift safety policies.\n\nPreventative Maintenance Schedule Adherence.\n\nAbility to handle parts without damaging people, parts or property.\n\nTimely and accurate record keeping.\n\nEssential Job Responsibilities\n\nGenerate loading map and charts.\n\nLoad and light-up forge furnaces (box and rotary).\n\nMeasure the temperature of forged parts using an Infrared Optical Pyrometer.\n\nMeasure hot and cold forged parts and document dimensions.\n\nImplement fixed process requirements, such as cooling method, temperature deviation and wall reduction.\n\nWork with shop orders and specific customers.\n\nMonitor minimum and max soak times temperatures on the golds.\n\nUnderstand the basic forging language (back extrusion, edging, forming, etc.), and call out dimensions on gold.\n\nUnderstanding load, reheats, transfers, and record measurements of hot and cold forged parts.\n\nMaintain Lot traceability (Serial Number).\n\nOperate optical gun & aluminum handheld, hourly temperature measurement of forged parts with Infrared Optical Pyrometer.\n\nData entry using Oracle Software (Write-up).\n\nVerify tooling number before and temperature before forging parts.\n\nForklift training and safely operate mobile equipment (plus perform forklift checkup), and Safely gas up manipulator.\n\nMove product between processes, load & unload material.\n\nInteract with manufacturing staff and Meets Production Goals (Cycle Times, Out Put Log etc.)\n\nSetting up Wyman Gordon & Nuclear packages (Furnace charts, loading maps, write-up (Metallurgist report)).\n\nStart up and properly shut down all furnaces, assist co-workers and Metrology with furnace issues.\n\nReplacing spur plug, wire, and cleaning Fireye scanner.\n\nProgramming parameter of UDC2500 & UDC3200.\n\nAdjust for initial-start up (New furnace).\n\nFurnace burner adjustments and understand furnace primary parts.\n\nUnderstanding of Fireye flame safety system and maxon gas valves.\n\nUpdate QA documentation due to schedule changes and flow down information to; Lead, Process Control & Blacksmith.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Education/Experience\n\nHigh school / GED or Technical College degree.\n\n0-2 years experience in forge industry a plus (level 1).\n\n3+ years’ experience for level 2.\n\nExperience in forge industry is highly preferred but not required.\n\nPhysical Demand\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
