Delta team members take advantage of terrific opportunities to advance professionally in a supportive team-oriented culture while enjoying a generous compensation and benefits package.\nWHO WE NEED\nWe are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Senior Structural Engineer to oversee staff and project development across our company.\nThe successful candidate will have:\nBachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field\nMinimum of 15 years of structural design experience\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license\nExperience in Project Management and/or staff leadership is preferred\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nEnsure quality, budget, and schedule adherence for structural engineering work\nParticipate in early-stage project development, including scoping, risk assessment, conceptual designs, and fee determination\nInteract and communicate with clients as a Project Manager and support other Project Managers\nMaintain and understand all design software within the office; establish base design parameters, use cases, and limitations; provide or arrange training for staff to improve software efficiency\nMaintain structural design guidelines and resources\nAllocate structural team members to meet project and schedule needs\nCoordinate quality control reviews of calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports\nManage and develop structural staff, providing hands-on training individually and in team settings\nRequired Experience:\nStructural analysis, design, and detailing for steel, wood, masonry structures, and concrete foundations\nFamiliarity with light cable structures, precast concrete, and AASHTO is desired\nExperience with commercial and residential projects\nProficiency with the International Building Code (IBC), ASCE-7, ACI 318, AISC 360, AITC and/or NDS (wood), and TMS 402/602 (masonry)\nUse of three-dimensional analysis and design software\nStrong understanding of construction methods and ability to identify constructability issues in drawings and details\nOn-site condition inspection and assessment\nSpecification writing, technical report writing, and public speaking\nLeadership and coordination of staff\nSkills:\nStrong technical, communication, and organizational skills\nProblem-solving ability and a “can-do” attitude\nCapability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment\nWe look forward to welcoming a dedicated professional who can contribute to our team's success.\nThis role can be performed in any of our offices, following our hybrid model.
