DescriptionSummary:This position is responsible for planning and implementing specific communication programs for and interfacing with CHRISTUS Health Associates, volunteers, physicians, patients, board members, community and political leaders, state and local media, representatives and the general public. The Specialist will be privy to and is responsible for confidential corporate information, including strategic plans, financial information and risk management situations, in addition to patient information, and will be required to hold certain information in a confidential manner.ResponsibilitiesAssists in evaluating and developing marketing public relations strategies to promote CHRISTUS facilities and services; coordinates with Business Development and Outreach Department to develop messages and promotional opportunities for external audiences, as well as internal audiencesImplements marketing strategies as directed by Senior Leadership and Director of Marketing to promote the various entities and services of CHRISTUSDevelops communication plan and calendar for CHRISTUS messages among coordinators/liaisons, i.e., public relations, program developmentDevelops communication plan and calendar to share program information among various audiences, i.e., Associates/Volunteers, physicians, community through internal and external newsletters, Medical Staff Bulletins, website, CHRISTUS Health, local media, etcStandardizes and produces public relations materialsAssures that the CHRISTUS logo(s) and message are utilized according to CHRISTUS standardsCoordinates materials required for health fairs, community educationMeasures monthly publicity trackingWrites internal and external newsletter content as requestedOther writing may be requestedWorks with the leadership team, department Director, and advertising agency when warranted to implement the media relations plan including communications for CHRISTUSRequirementsBachelor's Degree requiredWork ScheduleMULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLEWork TypeFull Time
