We connect institutional borrowers, lenders, investors and custodians so they can access digital asset lending, financing, custody and liquidity with the controls, transparency and compliance they expect from traditional finance.\n\nWe are building in a fast-moving market where trust, execution, and institutional relationships matter.\n\n*Position Overview*\n\nWe are hiring a full-stack engineer who is equally comfortable writing a Solidity contract, designing a backend service and building the interfaces institutions use every day. As one of our first five engineers, you will build products for institutional lending and digital asset trading, owning features from idea to production across smart contracts, APIs, data pipelines and web apps.\n\nYou will work closely with product, business and risk teams to turn complex financial workflows into software. Our products move real client funds, so we care deeply about security, correctness and reliability.\n\nJoining this early means real ownership, direct access to leadership and clients, and a big say in our architecture, tooling and engineering culture. AI tools are a core part of how we build, and we expect you to use them well.\n\n*Key Responsibilities*\n\n* Build client-facing dashboards and internal tools for institutional lending and digital asset trading, providing timely, clear views of portfolios, loan balances, collateral, and transaction activity.\n* Develop credit and lending workflows across loan applications, credit assessment and approval processes, funding, interest accrual, repayments, and ongoing servicing.\n* Build and integrate trading and exchange systems, covering market data, order management, execution connectivity, and settlement.\n* Design, implement, test, and deploy Solidity smart contracts on Ethereum and other EVM networks for lending and collateral management, including oracle integrations, interest-rate models, and liquidation logic.\n* Integrate wallets, custodians, and external platforms to support secure transaction signing, contract interactions, and transaction tracking.\n* Build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for on-chain indexing, event processing, and reliable synchronization and reconciliation between on-chain and off-chain systems.\n* Implement collateral valuation, loan-to-value and exposure monitoring, margin-call workflows, and alerts for critical lending and trading events.\n* Develop access controls, approval workflows, audit trails, and reporting to support institutional operations, risk oversight, and compliance.\n* Collaborate with product, design, business, risk, and compliance teams to translate client needs into technical requirements and deliver features through production.\n* Maintain engineering quality through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and documentation. Support security audits, monitor production systems, and resolve reliability, performance, and security issues.\n* Use AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate development, testing, and debugging while validating outputs for correctness, security, and maintainability.\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* 3+ years of software engineering experience, with hands-on frontend and backend work and a track record of shipping production applications.\n* Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals: Ethereum, the EVM, wallets, transaction signing, gas, RPCs and on-chain events.\n* Practical experience developing, testing and deploying Solidity smart contracts with Foundry or Hardhat.\n* Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience with React and Next.js or a similar framework.\n* Proficiency in at least one backend stack (Node.js/TypeScript, Python or Go), including API design, database modeling and authentication.\n* Experience connecting applications to smart contracts with viem or ethers.js.\n* Knowledge of common smart contract vulnerabilities, such as reentrancy, access control flaws, signature replay and oracle manipulation.\n* Daily use of AI development tools, and the ability to explain how you validate generated code.\n* Strong ownership, problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-moving team.\n\n*Preferred Background*\n\n* Experience building dApps, DeFi lending or borrowing protocols, stablecoins, payments, wallets or tokenization platforms.\n* Open-source contributions, or participation in smart contract security reviews and audits.\n* Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), Docker, CI/CD, distributed systems or blockchain data indexing.\n* Experience integrating LLM APIs, AI agents or automated workflows into products.\n* Experience in fintech, trading or institutional financial products.\n\n*Compensation and Engagement Structure*\n\nCompensation will be structured based on experience, scope of responsibility, and level of engagement. The package may include cash compensation and, where applicable, equity participation.\n\n*Work Location*\n\nThis role is remote within the United States, with the option to work hybrid from our New York office. Strong candidates outside the US with relevant experience will also be considered.\n\n*Application Process*\n\nPlease send your resume along with GitHub profile, portfolio, or relevant project links to _team__@aquilonlabs.com_. Please include a brief description of a full-stack or blockchain project you have built and how you use AI tools in your development workflow.\n\nWork Location: Remote","company":"Aquilon Labs","rawCompany":"aquilon labs","city":"Myrtle Point","state":"OR","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-10-06T19:21:03.976Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"15-1299.07","title":"Blockchain Engineers","slug":"blockchain-engineers"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"}],"industries":[{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Software Engineer, Full Stack & Blockchain","description":"*About the Company*\n\nAquilon Labs builds institutional-grade infrastructure for digital asset markets.
