This role is responsible for creating a structured, fun, and educational environment that supports academic success, creativity, and physical well-being.The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about working with children, with the ability to design and implement a well-rounded daily program.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a daily and weekly schedule for the after-school programSupervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing, and structured environmentProvide homework assistance and academic support to studentsPlan and lead STEM-based activities, including:Hands-on science experimentsBasic computer skills and digital learningRobotics and engineering projectsOrganize and facilitate outdoor and physical activities to promote health and teamworkEncourage positive behavior, social development, and peer interactionMaintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environmentCommunicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and behaviorEnsure compliance with all Kid City USA policies and state licensing requirementsPick up children using school van.QualificationsExperience working with school-age children (preferred)Strong organizational and classroom management skillsAbility to create engaging lesson plans and activitiesBasic knowledge or interest in STEM education (science, technology, engineering, math)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Must pass all required background checksPreferred QualificationsBackground in education, child development, or a related fieldExperience with robotics, coding, or STEM programsPrevious after-school or camp program experience
