This position leads quality improvement initiatives, supports accreditation readiness efforts, conducts audits and assessments, and partners with operational leaders to drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate will leverage data, analytics, and healthcare quality best practices to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and ensure consistent adherence to Joint Commission, OSHA, infection control, and other regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a highly organized healthcare professional who is passionate about quality, compliance, and improving outcomes for both patients and team members.\n\nSpecific duties include, but are not limited to:\n\nMaintains a schedule and conducts site and system audits. Ensures surveillance is occurring at all types of field operations including fixed sites, mobile operations and support systems such as Patient Services, Supply Chain and Managed Care.\n\nBased on data analysis of organization quality metrics, leads and oversees corporate quality improvement teams in the quality improvement process. Manages complex and/or multiple projects/initiatives, including: Ensures project goals, outcomes and objectives are accomplished, Develops and monitors project plan, Tracks project status, identifies and resolves barriers, Assures milestones are met within prescribed timeframes and budget constraints, Updates appropriate parties on project status\n\nServes as an expert for the accreditation process (including Joint Commission and any other accreditations sought by the company) maintaining survey readiness and educating team members on the standards. Tracks manager compliance of unit system checklists, Site Specific Hazard Vulnerability Assessments and code drills.\n\nParticipates in the organization wide infection control program by contributing to the annual Infection Control Risk Assessment.\n\nOther related duties as assigned\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience\n\nThree (3) years related experience; preferably with a background in radiology or healthcare provider experience.\n\nManagement experience in operations within the healthcare industry\n\nStrong communication skills; both verbal and written including the ability to teach and mentor on QI principles and program activities\n\nStrong qualitative and quantitative analytical and problem solving ability\n\nOrganizational skills & Attention to Detail\n\nKnowledge and understanding of Internal Quality Auditing by process\n\nFacilitation skills\n\nKnowledge and understanding of Joint Commission standards as they apply to diagnostic imaging\n\nKnowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements as they apply to accident investigation and workplace safety\n\nKnowledge and understanding of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)\n\nKnowledge of CQI principles\n\nTeam player who builds effective working relationships with internal and external customers at all levels\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nCPHQ certification preferred\n\nAt Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
