The Machine Operator performs routine equipment setup, operation, monitoring, adjustments, inspections, changeovers, documentation, and sanitation activities.\n\nThe position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and productive workplace. The Machine Operator identifies equipment, quality, food safety, and process concerns and promptly escalates issues that cannot be resolved through established procedures.\nEssential Functions\n* Operate assigned production equipment in accordance with established production schedules, operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.\n* Perform routine machine setup, start-up, operation, changeovers, adjustments, and shutdown activities.\n* Monitor equipment performance and production processes to ensure products are manufactured according to established specifications.\n* Perform required visual and operational inspections of equipment before and during operation and promptly report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment.\n* Perform required quality and food safety inspections to identify foreign material, visible defects, contamination concerns, or other quality issues.\n* Make routine equipment adjustments in accordance with established operating procedures and promptly notify the Production Supervisor of issues that cannot be resolved.\n* Accurately complete required production, quality, process control, and equipment documentation.\n* Promptly report equipment malfunctions, production interruptions, downtime, and known causes of downtime to the Production Supervisor.\n* Inspect and maintain assigned equipment for sanitation compliance before beginning production and report any deficiencies.\n* Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, food safety requirements, GMPs, SOPs, and established quality standards.\n* Properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policies and job requirements.\n* Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work area in accordance with established housekeeping standards.\n* Identify and communicate opportunities to improve safety, quality, equipment performance, productivity, and production efficiency.\n* Observe, report, and correct unsafe or unsanitary conditions when appropriate.\n* Perform routine sanitation and cleaning activities associated with assigned equipment and work areas.\n* Work cooperatively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to support efficient operations.\n* Perform other duties as assigned and may be required to perform duties outside of normal responsibilities as needed.\nMachine Operator Qualifications & Skills\n* Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred.\n* Ability to read and understand basic operating instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.\n* Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.\n* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines.\n* Ability to identify equipment problems, quality concerns, and unsafe conditions and communicate them promptly.\n* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures.\n* Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.\n* Ability to safely operate production equipment and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.\n* Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform other physical activities required in a production environment.\n* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.\n* Willingness and ability to work a 2nd-shift schedule, including weekends as required.\nWork Environment\n* Fast-paced food production/manufacturing environment.\n* May require exposure to varying temperatures, noise, machinery, and cleaning/sanitation activities.\n* Requires use of required PPE and adherence to all applicable safety and food safety procedures.\n* Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and
