SummaryThe primary focus of this role is the safe and efficient handling of containers within a controlled environment. This position will require the operator to operate both a Reach Stacker and an Industrial Forklift.Important Personal SkillsHave at least 1-year experience in the safe operation of Reach Stacker and/or Industrial Forklift.A positive attitude and can work well under pressurePrevious reach stacker / container handler experience.Strong communication skills.Strong sense of accountabilityA strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels.The want to learn all aspects of the business.Job TasksThe operation of equipment in a manner that is both safe and avoids damage to containers and other equipment or product. (reach stacker/industrial)The safe and effective stacking of sea containers up to 4 high (reach stacker)The safe loading and unloading of containers on chassis.Monitors gauges, inspects product, troubleshoots as needed, and handles routine maintenance (reach stacker/industrial)Demonstrating a high level of Safety and Process compliance. (reach stacker/industrial)Attention to detail and, maintaining complete and accurate documentation. (reach stacker and industrial)Maintain an accurate inventory of the full yard (reach stacker) and the empty yard (industrial)The safe and effective stacking of sea containers up to 2 high (industrial).
