You will play a key role in the software design and control system architecture, with an emphasis on integrating instrumentation into semiconductor manufacturing lines. If you are someone who loves working with hardware, working with robotics, using lasers, we have all of it. We use SECS/GEM, GEM300, and every part of LabVIEW: base LabVIEW, LabVIEW RT, and FPGA. It’s an incredible opportunity to learn amongst a group of peers dedicated to advancing the industry.\nYour Role\nPerform complex factory automation software design (define requirements, author code, and test)\nControl system design (electrical design and component selection)\nDrive and contribute to feature development from requirements to delivery\nIdentify ways to improve software development practices\nParticipate in formal and informal code and design reviews\nDevelop complex applications in SECS/GEM, GEM300, LabVIEW, and other suitable technologies and deploy systems into the lab and the field\nPerform component selection and integrated system assembly\nPerform root cause analysis for failures and implement solutions\nMaintain thorough and accurate documentation (support technical manual generation)\nProvide field support of instrumentation (domestic/international)\nOversee automated test development/system validation\nQualifications (Required)\nSECS/GEM, GEM300, LabVIEW with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the field of industrial automation\nData acquisition, robotics, IO, industrial communication, and machine vision\nExperience designing and fabricating automated control systems\nSource code control (GIT/BitBucket)\nCapability to manage workload among changing priorities, alternating between hands-on verification, validation, software development and automation\nStrong command of industry trends and ability to apply those for desired outcomes\nExcellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills\nThrive in a dynamic startup environment and have a troubleshooting mindset: an ability to systematically and effectively break down a system or process into subparts to identify failure mechanisms\nStrong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with highly technical peers\nUnderstanding of networking principles and concepts\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum models and ability to critique work of self and others constructively\nExcellent documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization\nExcellent time management and prioritization skills\nEligibility to work in the United States\nQualifications (Bonus to Have)\nExperience with following hardware is a plus: Vacuum pumps, MFCs, Vacuum Valves, Gauges, motion stages (DC/servo/piezo), robotic arms (for semiconductor industry), safety controllers, digital and analog cameras, NI-cRIO, NI-PXI, NI-FPGA, ECAT\nKnowledge of: LVOOP, Actor framework, LabVIEW DVRs, EtherCat communication, LabVIEW RT/FPGA, FIFO, Streams, Matlab, Large scale architecture (1000+ VIs) and interaction between modules\nOrCad & EAGLE\nAssembly skills (electrical/mechanical)\nSemiconductor capital equipment experience\nSEMI/NFPA/IEC standards\nThe Perks\nThe base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000-$180,000 + bonus & benefits.
