The business sells physical goods across Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop and operates with a multi-entity international structure.About the OpportunityThe company is seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented finance leader who has personally driven month-end closes in a similar ecommerce environment. This is not a strategic FP&A or board-facing role — it is a true ownership position focused on accuracy, reconciliation, and operational finance.They operate with high transparency, zero politics, and a strong bias for results. The entire team reviews a daily P&L, so precision and candor are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly close and deliver accurate accrual-basis financials (including true landed COGS — inventory, freight, duties, and fees) within tight timelines.Own the daily P&L, with full reconciliation of platform payouts, reserves, refunds, chargebacks, and processor fees across all sales channels.Manage complex payment processor accounting across multiple providers with exacting standards.Provide weekly cash reporting and actively manage liquidity and working capital.Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.Secure and optimize credit facilities (cards, ad platforms, vendor terms, etc.).Review significant spend, drive cost savings, and maintain full audit readiness.Coordinate with external tax, transfer pricing, and accounting partners while owning the quality of their deliverables.Build scalable processes and grow the finance function as the company expands.RequirementsProven hands-on experience personally closing books at an ecommerce company with physical inventory.Strong background reconciling multi-channel platforms (Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop) and multiple payment processors.Experience with inventory accounting, landed costs, QuickBooks, and ecommerce reconciliation tools (e.g., A2X).Exposure to multi-entity / international structures.Track record of managing external bookkeeping and advisory relationships.CPA or public accounting background is preferred.Ideal ProfileThey are looking for a US-based, extremely hands-on professional who chases down discrepancies personally, communicates directly, and improves broken processes.
