We work to make the region a great place to live, work, and thrive.What will I be doing?ü Manage procurement activities for goods and services using a variety of methodsü Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and oversee the process through contract awardü Perform requests for bid/quotes and issue purchase orders as applicableü Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies and proceduresKey Qualificationsü Relevant experience may substitute for educationü Strong experience procuring commodities and complex servicesü Ability to develop detailed bid specifications and requests for proposals (RFP’s)ü Knowledge of governmental procurement and OMB standardsü Experience with purchase order softwareü Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsDo you have…ü Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of studyü 3 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related dutiesPreferred Qualificationsü Experience in public procurement or local governmentü Familiarity with RFP, RFQ, and IFB processesü Experience handling requisitions and purchase ordersAll employees of H-GAC are required to reside within the agency’s region of service to support our commitment to excellence in service of our region.H-GAC is an equal opportunity/ADA employer.
