It is responsible for accurate quoting, order processing, and resolving issues within agreed SLAs.As part of the Export – Inside Sales team, the Export Advisor helps position Cromwell as the easiest company to work with globally through responsive service, strong ownership, and commercial awareness.Role ResponsibilitiesAccount Management & Commercial DevelopmentManage a portfolio of named international customer accounts across multiple territoriesBuild strong, long-term relationships to drive retention and growthIdentify new sales opportunities within existing accountsConduct proactive outbound activities to progress quotes and develop the pipeline.Upsell and cross-sell relevant product categoriesResearch and qualify new business opportunities where requiredWork towards revenue and margin growth objectives, with formal sales targets introduced as the role evolvesContribute to achieving team commercial performance metricsStay informed on product updates, pricing policies, and competitor activityExport Operations & Customer Service ExcellenceDeliver a best-in-class international customer experience with a single-point-of-contact mindsetPrepare accurate and timely quotations in line with pricing policies and agreed SLAsProactively progress open quotations to improve conversionEnter and manage customer orders accurately within business systemsGenerate temporary product codes where requiredAdvise customers of stock availability issues and proactively offer suitable alternativesLiaise with external suppliers to source products and substitutesEnsure compliance with export procedures and documentation requirementsManage customer complaints through to satisfactory resolutionMaintain accurate CRM records and customer dataKey Performance IndicatorsRevenue and Margin Growth (formalised targets to be introduced as the role evolves)Quote Conversion RateSLA AdherenceCustomer RetentionCRM/Data AccuracyComplaint Resolution TimelinessIncentive Scheme Participation (currently quarterly, with potential to move to monthly structure)EssentialSkills, Experience & CompetenciesProven experience in Internal Sales, Export, or Customer Service environment.Strong commercial awareness and sales capability.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).Experience using CRM systems.Problem-solving capability with a proactive mindset.Ability to build trust and influence customer decisions.Desirable Experience within export/international trade.Understanding of export documentation and shipping processes.Additional language capability.Experience working within an SLA-driven environment.About CromwellCromwell has been around for over 50 years, supplying an unrivalled choice of cutting tools, power tools, hand tools and safety equipment into all industries, professions and trades.
