This position plays a key role in delivering smooth, high-quality asphalt surfaces by safely and efficiently operating the paver during road construction and resurfacing projects.The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience operating asphalt pavers, understands the importance of consistent material flow and mat quality, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented field environment.Key responsibilities include:Operate asphalt paver to place material to specified depth, width, and gradeControl speed and material flow to ensure a smooth, consistent matCoordinate with screed operators, roller operators, and truck drivers for efficient paving operationsMonitor head of material, and overall paving conditionsPerform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenanceAdjust paver controls based on job specifications and site conditionsMaintain strong awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operationSupport crew members and assist with general paving duties as neededQualifications include:Minimum 3 years of experience operating asphalt paversStrong understanding of paving operations, material flow, and mat qualityAbility to read and interpret job plans and grade requirementsExcellent hand-eye coordination and equipment control skillsMechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issuesValid driver's license with a good driving recordWillingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as neededWhat we offer:Competitive pay based on experienceCompany-paid training and advancement opportunitiesSupportive, team-oriented work environmentModern, well-maintained equipmentFull benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement optionsPaid time off and holidaysWhy C.R.
