CRM Project Manager
Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a CRM Project Manager to lead delivery for a waste-industry CRM implementation within a co-mingled consulting and client team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, including managing plans, timelines, risks, and resources, while serving as the primary coordination point between technical delivery teams and client stakeholders across all levels of the organization.This opportunity is remote with travel to the client site on the West Coast. Travel will be during implementation timelines every 4-6 months.ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and DeliveryDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocations, and dependenciesManage the agile backlog and facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews in collaboration with the delivery teamContinuously monitor project health, proactively identifying schedule, scope, or delivery risks and driving timely resolutionEnsure delivery stays within approved financial constraints, tracking budget actuals against plan and escalating variances as neededStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, including senior leaders and steering committee membersDeliver clear, concise status updates tailored to a business (not technical) audienceTranslate technical concepts into business impact, risk, and decision-making language for executive audiencesCommunicate proactively and efficiently, focusing on key insights without overloading stakeholders with unnecessary detailRaise issues early, providing context, options, and recommended paths forward to support informed decisionsTeam Leadership & Internal CoordinationLead and support the delivery team day-to-day, providing direction, removing blockers, and maintaining momentum and moralePartner closely with internal leadership to maintain visibility into team performance, capacity, and engagement healthNavigate interpersonal and cross-functional conflicts professionally, resolving issues in a way that preserves relationships and delivery progressModel consulting-level professionalism across all interactions, including meetings, written communication, and deliverablesRisk, Scope & Vendor ManagementIdentify technical and operational risks early and develop mitigation strategies to protect timeline, quality, and outcomesManage scope rigorously, supporting stakeholder alignment on tradeoffs between scope, budget, and scheduleOversee relationships with external vendors and third-party partners, ensuring clear expectations, accountability, and performance alignmentQualificationsProven project management experience leading complex, cross-functional technology implementations from planning through go-liveStrong fluency in Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery methodologies, including backlog management and facilitation of ceremoniesSolid technical acumen across software development, cloud environments, and data systems, enabling effective engagement with technical teams and translation for business stakeholdersDemonstrated experience presenting to executive stakeholders and steering committees with clarity, confidence, and business-focused framingExperience managing project budgets, tracking spend, and proactively managing financial risks and variancesStrong risk identification and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to address issues early and constructivelyConsulting-level communication skills with a polished, client-facing presence in all settingsNice to HavePMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management certificationExperience in waste management, logistics, transportation, or other operations-heavy industriesFamiliarity with CRM platforms or enterprise system implementationsExperience managing vendor RFP processes, evaluations, and contract negotiationsExposure to organizational change management alongside technical deliveryJob RequirementsCompensationW2 Hourly rate: $60 - 75.
