The CMM Programmer will work in concert with cross-functional teams and other departments to provide support in achieving quality goals defined and established by upper management.\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nMust be proficient in developing, debugging, optimizing and executing CMM programs utilizing solid models and \"touch and teach\" approach.\r\nDevelop, sustain and improve CMM methods and procedures.\r\nMust be able to verify CMM program accuracy and conformance to requirement using conventional inspection methods.\r\nMust be able to interpret engineering drawings, solid models and specifications.\r\nMust have strong knowledge of GD&T requirements.\r\nMust be proficient in utilizing variety of inspection equipment and have strong practical knowledge of surface plate layout techniques.\r\nPerform multiple kinds of set-up, first piece, in-process and final inspections.\r\nAccurately make independent decisions on product disposition.\r\nStrong attention to details and problem-solving abilities.\r\nMust have effective teamwork, communication, organizational and documentation skills.\r\nAbility to train and mentor manufacturing and quality personnel on proper CMM usage and data interpretation.\r\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).\r\nTroubleshoot various problems and develop corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.\r\nAdhere and monitor SOP.\r\nUnderstand/learn the nature and functionality of the products being inspected.\r\nEffectively communicate and notify supervisor when product non-conformances are identified.\r\nMust be able to accurately input all required data into the manufacturing database.\r\nAble to work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies and ensure part compliance with specifications.\r\nComplete other duties as assigned by supervisor.\r\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\r\nQUALIFICATIONS\r\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
