Full Stack Software Engineer (Active Secret Clearance Required)

Company DescriptionJob DescriptionMission:Support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in developing secure, mission-critical software systems. This role directly contributes to national defense initiatives, working in a classified environment on high-impact programs.What You'll Work On:Full-stack development of secure DoD applications (frontend, backend, integrations)System architecture, design, and deployment in classified environmentsIntegration of enterprise systems, APIs, and databasesPerformance optimization for high-reliability, mission-critical systemsImplementation of DevSecOps practices and secure coding standardsTroubleshooting across multi-system, multi-language environmentsSupporting agile development and rapid prototypingKey Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applicationsWrite clean, maintainable, secure code aligned with DoD standardsManage code using Git/version controlDebug and resolve complex system-level issuesDevelop and document system architecture and technical solutionsCollaborate with engineers, program leadership, and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and RMF requirementsParticipate in code reviews and engineering best practicesSupport CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows QualificationsRequired Qualifications (Must Have)Active Secret Clearance (current and valid)Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilityBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field5+ years of full-stack software development experience2+ years of Java development experienceExperience with XML and data integrationProficiency in Linux/Unix environmentsExperience building secure, scalable, high-performance systemsStrong problem-solving and system design skillsWillingness to work on-site in a classified environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting DoD, Air Force, or AFRL programsFamiliarity with SIPRNet, JWICS, or other classified networksExperience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automation toolsExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure GovCloud)Frontend experience with React, Angular, or similar frameworks Additional InformationWork Environment:100% On-Site at Hanscom AFB, MAWork performed in secure/classified facilitiesCollaboration with cross-functional engineering and defense teamsWhy This Role:Direct impact on national security programsWork on advanced defense technologiesStable, long-term program with recompete potentialOpportunity to grow into TS/SCI-cleared roles
