This is an in person position expected to work 40 hours per week during regular business hours.Responsibilities*This position is responsible for performing administrative work in the department of Facilities & Operations. They will coordinate the use of conference rooms, services or equipment; assist in data entry related to fiscal duties duties, equipment records, preventative maintenance, work orders and attendance in accordance with department procedures and forms; maintain detailed logs; represent the department in administrative matters.Additionally, this position is the primary point of contact for the department and is responsible for answering phones, emails and in person inquiries. The person in this position will enter work orders, contact technicians in the field via phone or radio and contact vendors for elevator or waste management services.Required Qualifications** Graduation from High School or GED.Skills You HaveAttention to detailExperience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office or similar software.Experience delivering excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.Desired Qualifications** Graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and one year of general business experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum educational level of high school graduation.* Five years of responsible clerical or business office experience, including accounting and office management duties.Modes of WorkOnsiteThe work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of MichiganPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
