This role will bridge development and operations to remove friction, improve collaboration, and ensure releases reach users with less disruption and greater consistency. In addition, the position will enhance observability, monitoring, and incident response to accelerate issue detection and recovery, while also improving system configuration management and documentation to support scalability, resilience, and long-term operational excellence.\r\nJob duties:\r\nConfigure CI/CD for multiple web applications\r\nTake source code, dependencies to perform application builds\r\nPerform automated testing and security scans\r\nDeploy to multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Operations)\r\nResponsible for Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management\r\nAuthor helm charts to deploy resources to OpenShift\r\nManage and document system security, by performing software updates in response to scan findings, document system, architecture to demonstrate security compliance\r\nIn-depth knowledge, principles, and methods of enterprise solutions.\r\nEight years of experience designing and implementing complex systems in a classified environment. Experience developing strategic system architecture plans.\r\nExperience in system and network creation and development.\r\nSolid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices.\r\nResearches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide cloud solutions and/or applications software\r\nDesigns, develops, codes, tests and debugs highly complex new software products or makes significant enhancements to existing software.\r\nDevelops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.\r\nResolves highly complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.\r\nConducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity.\r\nFactors emerging technologies and product supportability into design and implementation.\r\nProvides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.\r\nAdvises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.\r\nPrepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel.\r\nWhat you'll need to succeed: Skills/Qualifications:\r\nRequired:\r\nMinimum 6+ years of directly related experience\r\nBachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 2 additional years of experience in information technology\r\nProficiency with Linux operating systems\r\nWorking experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar)\r\nKnowledge of OIDC/OAuth/Auth2 or similar zero-trust identity implementations\r\nExperience with ArgoCD and GitOps style operations management\r\nExperience with web server management (e.g. DNS, certificate management)\r\nKnowledge of HTTP API design standards and best practices\r\nAbility to manage networking for web applications (TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing)\r\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, with knowledge of AWS\r\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, OpenShift Containerized Platform, Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)\r\nKnowledge of including monitoring & logging and network & security for containers\r\nExperience deploying and managing databases, interacting with DBs via SQL and ORMs\r\nComfortable writing Python and BASH to create systems tooling\r\nAbility to contribute code updates/tweaks to existing code repositories\r\nExperience with software system design with the ability to create application architecture diagrams for new applications\r\nExperience integrating security components with applications and databases\r\nTechnical certification Network +, Security +, CISSP, etc.\r\nTS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph Desired:\r\nFamiliarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment\r\nExperience implementing zero-downtime re-indexing strategies and managing complex Elasticsearch data models (e.g., routing, query-time, de-duplication) within an OpenShift/Kubernetes environment\r\nExperience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Alloy, Loki, Mimir, Tempo, or Grafana\r\nAn understanding of reverse proxies such as Nginx, Traefik or Apache HTTP Server (WebGate), HAProxy, or Envoy.\r\nExperience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniques\r\nExperience in System Engineering and project/program management.\r\nKnowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products (NGA CORE).
