This role translates business needs into scalable solutions, guides development standards, and ensures a clean, supportable, and future-ready SAP landscape.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead the design and delivery of SAP application development and extension solutions that support business objectives.\nPartner with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technology leaders to translate requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions.\nDefine and maintain application development standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.\nDrive SAP modernization initiatives, including clean-core and extensibility strategies.\nEvaluate and recommend technologies and approaches that enhance business processes and platform capabilities.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the solution lifecycle.\nEnsure solutions meet performance, security, compliance, and quality standards.\nOversee solution reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.\nCollaborate with Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the broader technology landscape.\nMentor developers and serve as a subject matter expert for SAP application development and architecture.\n\nWhat is Expected of You and Others at this Level\n\nIn-depth knowledge and experience\nUses existing solutions to resolve complex issues\nWorks independently; receives minimal guidance\nActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience\nRepresents the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement\n\nCompetencies Expected of You and Others at This Level\n\nManages Conflict - Handling conflict situations effectively and with a minimum of noise\nCommunicates Effectively - Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences\nDecision Quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward\nDirects Work - Providing direction, delegating and removing obstacles to get work done\nResourcefulness - Securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently\nDemonstrates Self-Awareness - Using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses\n\nMinimum Qualifications and Skills\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\n10+ years of SAP application development experience, including experience leading solution design and architecture initiatives.\nStrong expertise in SAP S/4HANA development, including ABAP, SAP Fiori, APIs, and application extensibility.\nExperience designing and delivering solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).\nKnowledge of modern SAP development practices, clean-core principles, and cloud-based extension strategies.\nExperience with low-code/no-code technologies, workflow automation, and business process optimization.\nUnderstanding of SAP integration technologies and enterprise application architecture.\nAbility to establish development standards, best practices, and governance processes.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor developers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.\n\nAdditional Qualifications & Skills\n\nExperience with ABAP Cloud, RAP, and SAP Build solutions.\nExperience supporting SAP transformation, migration, or greenfield S/4HANA implementations.\nFamiliarity with SAP BTP services, integration platforms, and cloud technologies.\n\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
