However, you must have—or be willing and eligible to obtain—a Texas Plumber’s Apprentice registration before performing plumbing work.\nPay\n$18–$23 per hour, based on plumbing and construction experience\nOvertime opportunities\nFull-time, year-round work\nOpportunity to learn the trade and work toward a Texas plumbing license\nWhat You’ll Do\nAssist licensed plumbers with sewer and fresh-water repairs\nCarry, organize, and prepare tools and materials\nHelp install piping, fittings, cleanouts, valves, and other plumbing components\nAssist with under-slab repairs, tunnels, access excavations, and backfill\nDig, shovel, remove soil, and prepare work areas\nMeasure, cut, and prepare piping under the direction of a licensed plumber\nProtect customers’ homes and help maintain clean, orderly jobsites\nLoad and unload trucks and trailers\nTake job photographs and assist with required documentation\nFollow all safety procedures and instructions from the supervising plumber\nClean and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas at the end of each job\nWhat We’re Looking For\nNo Journeyman or Tradesman license required\nCurrent Texas Plumber’s Apprentice registration, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one\nPlumbing, construction, excavation, mechanical, or general labor experience preferred\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation\nDependable attendance and willingness to work a full schedule\nAbility to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team\nAbility to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in Texas weather\nWillingness to enter properly supported plumbing tunnels and excavation areas\nAbility to pass applicable background and driving-record requirements\nProfessional and respectful behavior around homeowners and coworkers\nThe Right Person for This Role\nYou don’t need to know everything about plumbing on day one.
