The successful candidate is responsible for oversight of all aspects of counter sales and warehouse operations; including inventory, product handling shipping/receiving and personnel management in a friendly, fast-paced team environment.Essential FunctionsPrimarily responsible for processing orders received from counter customersAssist customers with needed items, interacting extensively to clarify their needs, research and recommend partsUtilize the ERP to determine material availability and establish lead times for customer ordersProcess request for quotes/“RFQ” received from current or potential customersCreate, issue and process purchase orders and transfer orders as required to fulfill customer ordersTrain/Mentor potential and new Counter Sales employeesMaintain an advanced knowledge of the products and services offered by Stuart Hose & Pipe Co. and its supplier partnersAssist Management as neededMiscellaneous tasks assignedExperience, Education And SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredHose and Fittings product knowledge requiredBasic mathematical skills requiredAbility to read a tape measure preferredGood communication, organizational, and time management skillsAbility to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support the company’s goalsMust be comfortable lifting heavy items and using warehouse machineryWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D.
