Location: Fort Collins, CO 80524Employment Type: Full-TimePay: Up to $25.00 per hourSchedule: Tuesday to Saturday | Availability as per Business RequirementPosition OverviewCitadel Security USA is seeking a motivated and experienced Field Training Officer (FTO) to support officer development, operational consistency, and quality assurance across multiple client locations in the Fort Collins area.This position plays a critical role in preparing new officers for success while reinforcing company standards among existing personnel. The Field Training Officer serves as a mentor, coach, and operational resources, helping ensure officers understand site expectations, reporting requirements, safety procedures, and client-specific responsibilities.The ideal candidate is confident leading by example, enjoys developing others, and can effectively balance training responsibilities with field-based operational support.Key ResponsibilitiesOfficer Training & DevelopmentConduct field training for newly hired security personnel during onboarding assignmentsDemonstrate proper patrol procedures, report-writing practices, and site-specific responsibilitiesReview of post orders, operational directives, and client expectations with assigned officersEvaluate officer readiness and provide practical instruction in real-world environmentsReinforce company policies, professional standards, and security best practicesCoaching & Performance SupportObserve officer performance during live assignments and provide constructive feedbackIdentify areas where additional training, guidance, or reinforcement may be neededAssist officers in developing confidence, decision-making skills, and situational awarenessPromote accountability, professionalism, and consistent job performanceSupport ongoing development initiatives for both new and existing personnelSite Visits & Operational OversightTravel between assigned locations to conduct field evaluations and training activitiesAssess site conditions and verify compliance with client requirements and post ordersReview patrol practices, documentation standards, and operational proceduresSupport supervisors by identifying operational challenges and recommending solutionsMaintain positive working relationships with site contacts and client representativesDocumentation & CommunicationComplete training records, observation reports, and performance evaluations accuratelyProvide regular updates to management regarding trainee progress and developmentDocument coaching sessions, corrective guidance, and follow-up actions when applicableCommunicate professionally with officers, supervisors, clients, and company leadershipAssist with maintaining training-related records and compliance documentationMinimum RequirementsActive Guard Card requiredValid driver's license with an acceptable driving historyPersonal firearm required in accordance with company policy and applicable lawsReliable personal vehicles available for travel between locationsPrevious security experience requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work flexible schedules, including evenings or overnight hours when neededProfessional appearance and dependable work historyAbility to mentor, instruct, and support personnel in field environmentsPreferred QualificationsCandidates with the following experience are strongly encouraged to apply:Previous Field Training Officer, Lead Officer, Supervisor, or Trainer experienceArmed security experience and familiarity with armed post requirementsExperience conducting performance evaluations or coaching employeesKnowledge of patrol operations, incident reporting, and security documentationExperience supporting operations across multiple sites or geographic areasStrong organizational and time-management skillsWork EnvironmentThis Position Regularly InvolvesTravel between multiple client locations throughout the service areaIndoor and outdoor assignmentsWalking, standing, driving, and conducting site inspectionsDirect interaction with officers, supervisors, clients, and management teamsFlexible scheduling based on training needs and operational prioritiesIndependent work combined with collaborative leadership responsibilitiesWhy Join Citadel Security USA?What We OfferCompetitive compensation of up to $25.00 per hourFull-time employment with leadership responsibilitiesOpportunity to directly impact officer development and operational excellenceDiverse assignments and exposure to multiple client environmentsSupportive management team and ongoing professional developmentAdvancement opportunities within a growing organizationEqual Opportunity EmployerCitadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
