We are recruiting for a Controller at our Bloomington corporate headquarters. You will be part of a small collaborative corporate team that supports our four business divisions across 23 locations.\nCONTROLLER POSITION PURPOSE:\nThis position is responsible for implementing and maintaining accurate systems for the internal reporting, external reporting and control of monetary matters, and to contribute ideas for improved reporting and control.\nCONTROLLER PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nResponsible for reviewing monthly financial statements.\nEnsure that all accounting activities are performed correctly and in a timely manner.\nDevelop, maintain, and revise accounting systems and controls to provide meaningful input of data to all managers.\nReview bank transactions and prepare reconciliations.\nReview balance sheet account reconciliations.\nReview and approve all journal entries.\nReview accounts receivable trial balance.\nReview accounts payable and GRN trial balances.\nReview cash disbursements journals.\nReview cash receipts summary report.\nAssist sites in researching and resolving customer discrepancies.\nCoordinate month end and year end activities with accounting department and sites.\nPrepare special analyses and reports for senior management.\nReview asset list and depreciation schedules.\nReview sales tax reports.\nAssist CFO with coordination of the activities of public accountants, bank auditors, government auditors, and maintain regulatory reports.\nProvide day-to-day direction and leadership to the accounting organization.\nContribute to and cooperate with corporate goals.\nStress at all times the importance of accuracy and safety through attitudes and actions in order to meet the goal of an accurate, compliant, fair, and safe work environment for all employees and to ensure accurate, compliant, fair, and safe work habits on the part of all employees.\nBe alert to and report any fraud or illegal activity conducted by any employees or business partners of the corporation.\nAdhere to and promote all company standards and policies.\nConduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.\nPerform special projects as assigned by management.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\nIn-depth knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting systems.\nKnowledge of cash flow planning, forecasting, and strategic planning process.\nHonesty, integrity, attention to detail and trustworthiness.\nAble to create a clear vision and think strategically.\nHighly effective oral and written communications skills.\nProven ability to influence people and teams to achieve successful results.\nExhibits high credibility and trustworthiness to co-workers, customers and to the company.\nConsistent decision making with an ability to define, improve, and organize people around process.\nStrong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.\nTenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.\nStrong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn new systems.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nRequired:\nBachelor of Science in Accounting with managerial accounting emphasis or equivalent experience.\nPrevious applicable accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $90,000.00 -
