The Assistant Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, interacting with customers, taking orders, and ensuring the accuracy of transactions through the POS system. We are seeking individuals with a friendly and upbeat attitude, a commitment to quality, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPrepare and serve alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes.\n\nInteract with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations based on preferences.\n\nEnter each order accurately into the POS system.\n\nUphold the company's core values and ensure optimum guest experience.\n\nAccountable for maintaining quality, consistency, and sanitation standards as per company and state regulations.\n\nPractice an ownership mentality with emphasis on motivation and teamwork.\n\nKeep the bar area clean and tidy, including washing glasses and cleaning the bar top and surrounding areas.\n\nRestock supplies during slow operational hours, including alcohol, ice, fruit, beer kegs, and beer cooler.\n\nAccurately portion all orders to ensure low cost.\n\nHandle cash and credit transactions, ensuring all orders are accounted for in the POS system.\n\nWork with the management team to achieve year-over-year growth, profitability, and guest satisfaction.\n\nExecute programs to lead to increased sales and profitability.\n\nUnderstand all menu items and effectively upsell to guests.\n\nEnsure safety by keeping areas free from hazards, addressing and correcting any practices that lower safety standards.\n\nAvoid over-serving alcohol and check the ID of every patron to prevent serving minors.\n\nHandle guest complaints and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.\n\nObtain TIPS Certification.\n\nQualifications:\n\nFriendly, upbeat attitude.\n\nAbility to perform each essential duty successfully.\n\nBar experience preferred, but not required.\n\nAbility and willingness to learn all stations on the line.\n\nAbility to follow drink recipes and maintain accurate pour sizes.\n\nAbility to keep calm under pressure and handle guest complaints.\n\nTIPS Certification.\n\nComputer skills to operate the POS system.\n\nStrong language skills for reading and interpreting business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\n\nMathematical skills for calculating figures such as discount, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, cost, and tip share.\n\nReasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.\n\nAdditional Requirements:\n\nPosition requires consistent activity, such as walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.\n\nMust be able to work holidays and weekends.\n\nEmployment may require a background check.\n\nNotice of E-Verify Participation: Five Star Parks & Attractions participates in the E-Verify program\n\nFive Star Park & Attractions is an equal opportunity employer.
