Field Project Controls Specialist – Scheduling Long-Term Contract Opportunity Location: Claude, TX (Project Site near Amarillo, TX) We are seeking an experienced Field Project Controls Specialist – Scheduling to support a major power generation construction project located in Claude, Texas. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for extension into future project phases. Per diem of $175/day is available for qualified candidates who meet eligibility requirements. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the project site to qualify. Position Summary The Field Project Controls Specialist – Scheduling is an experienced-level project controls professional responsible for supporting and maintaining project scheduling activities at the field site. Under general supervision, this individual will perform planning and scheduling assignments based on experience and demonstrated capabilities while contributing to larger and more complex project controls initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong EPC project experience and a deep understanding of scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis, earned value management, and schedule forecasting. Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Project Controls Facilitate the development and maintenance of the Level III project schedule. Lead schedule development, updates, and maintenance activities. Identify and incorporate schedule fragnets as project changes occur. Perform resource loading and resource leveling activities. Conduct critical path and float analysis and provide reporting to project leadership. Develop, maintain, and analyze earned value management (EVM) reports. Support project forecasting and schedule performance analysis. Monitor schedule progress and identify potential risks and recovery opportunities. Assist with project change management by evaluating schedule impacts associated with scope changes. Collaborate with construction, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure schedule alignment. Develop an understanding of key project cost control processes and their integration with schedule performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant Planning & Scheduling or Project Controls experience, OR Minimum of 6 years of relevant Planning & Scheduling or Project Controls experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Experience supporting large industrial, energy, power generation, EPC, or construction projects. Strong understanding of EPC project workflows and interdependencies between project functions. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field. Field project controls experience on large-scale construction projects. Experience supporting power generation, utility, energy, or industrial construction projects.
