Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing daily nursing activities, administering medications, completing required documentation, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The RN also performs professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care, while fostering a warm and collaborative environment. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with physicians, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and staff to meet residents needs./ppResponsibilities, including but not limited to:/pulliBe able to perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to your assigned duties./liliKnow the residents you serve, providing care based on their care plans and physician orders./liliPrepare administer medications as ordered by the physician./liliDevelop maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift. Receive/give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours. Make rounds with physicians as necessary./liliAssist in all aspects of a residents daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement./liliAppropriately communicate with clinical leadership when a residents needs change./liliKnow how to approach and care for residents with dementia./liliBe willing to take on other duties and assignments within the scope of your knowledge and experience./liliFull job description provided upon hire./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliRegistered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license./liliMust be knowledgeable of nursing medical practices procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities./liliExperience in Long Term Care is preferred./liliWilling to take additional training or education, which specific states may require./liliCPR and First Aid certifications are required./liliAbility to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities./liliPossess written and verbal skills for effective communication./liliCompetent in organizational and time management skills./liliDemonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills./li/ulpPhysical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
