Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers with their purchases, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and prior retail experience are a plus. Duties Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Assist customers with product inquiries and provide product demos when necessary Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Manage inventory by stocking shelves and assisting with inventory counts Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction Handle phone inquiries professionally following proper phone etiquette Supervise or assist in supervising other team members as needed Support in maintaining a clean and organized store environment Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cashiering and retail math calculations Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service excellence Ability to upsell products effectively and perform merchandising tasks Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs Supervising experience is a plus but not required Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
