{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"7258c4df0d997ba853159f47","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7258c4df0d997ba853159f47","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7258c4df0d997ba853159f47","title":"Control Room Operator","description":"Job TitleTo be considered for this position the individual must have a valid Massachusetts Second Class Engineer's license or higher, at least three years previous experience with high pressure boilers and electric generating equipment, or formal technical training and a High School Diploma or equivalent.\r\nResponsibilities Include:\r\nControl the operation of systems including steam generation, condensate, feed water, turbine/generator, circulating water, service water, fuel handling, ash handling, electrical, fire protection, air pollution control and various computer networks.\r\nRead and interpret meters, gauges, recorders, and annunciators to determine system operating conditions; takes action within prescribed normal and emergency operating procedures.\r\nAdjust and monitor temperatures, pressures, flow and levels on station primary system components for plant optimization.\r\nInitiate and conduct periodic surveillance tests on operating safety checks and tests on operating conditions.\r\nMaintain required logs and calculations; observe these logs for indications of faulty operation; notify supervisor of abnormal system conditions.\r\nMonitor operation of systems and components including pumps, motors, valves, fans, dampers, grates, augers, conveyors, dust collections, etc.\r\nMonitors operability of fire protection systems, emergency backup equipment, electrical supply equipment and instrumentation associated with station systems and components.\r\nMonitoring air pollution control equipment\r\nAccurately reading and recording data, and reporting equipment malfunctions or trends, which indicate possible equipment danger\r\nIdentifying and correcting abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations\r\nUnderstand and train other Operators on the operating principles of the power facility's systems, components and steam cycles.\r\nAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.\r\nPay Transparency\r\nReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
