The Maintenance/Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the daily activities of the Maintenance and Engineering Team, overseeing the continuous improvement of department activities and equipment efficiency.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDirectly supervise employees in the Maintenance and Engineering Department.\nCarry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and culture.\nResponsible for Interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nWork closely with production management to schedule maintenance activities based on equipment, manpower, and spare parts availability.\nOrganizes the PM workforce to maximize the utilization of Labor.\nDevelops and/or initiates training activities to better individuals as well as team knowledge and abilities.\nWorks with outside contractors on project work.\nEnsures compliance to Quality, Safety, and Environmental regulations.\nAssigns or assists in performing emergency downtime repairs.\nKnow and enforce health, safety and environmental rules.\nSeek to reduce safety risks, with support from the safety team.\nUse a data driven approach to continuous improvement.\nAssist in locating and purchasing materials required to complete maintenance activities.\nUtilize 8D and problem resolution for qualities issues related to equipment performance.\nResponsible for the maintenance annual budget.\nKeep work area clean and orderly to prevent safety hazards.\nAssure adherence to quality policies and procedures including acceptable work standards, customer specifications and IPI requirements, to also include participation in the creation and support of systems, documentation and actions to ensure continued conformance to Quality (IATF) and Environmental (ISO) management systems.\nObserve and follow company policies and maintain proper standards of conduct at all times.\nAll other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nAt least 10 years of Maintenance experience required, automotive industry preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the Maintenance field required.\nExperience with CMMS programs – preferably SAP PM.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nThorough knowledge of maintenance concepts, including electrical, Hydraulic& Mechanical repairs and PLC programs and trouble shooting.\nAbility to interpret Electrical and mechanical schematics/blueprints.\nEffective interpersonal and written communication skills.\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask (trouble shooting on separate systems simultaneously).\nAble to adapt and be self-driven, drive Shop cleanliness in the 5s.\nDevelopment of Maintenance checks, training, and work instructions.\nComputer programs (MS Office).\n\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and seek to hire the best candidate regardless of age, beliefs, disability, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.\nAbout us\nWe are a multi-technology company present in over 20 countries and our team of over 40,000 is made up of 90 different nationalities.
