This program provides a distinctive opportunity to work closely with a mentor and engage in collaborative projects within small teams, guided by our experienced technical staff. Participants will be involved in developing and testing algorithms, creating user interface components, and writing scripts in support of large-scale defense and homeland security support systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while making a meaningful contribution to Metron's mission.\n\nBeyond technical responsibilities, Metron's Internship program promotes networking and camaraderie among fellow Interns and staff through organized social events. You will also have the chance to showcase your accomplishments and share valuable lessons learned at the conclusion of the program.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nApplicant must be at least 16 years old\n\nU.S. Citizenship\n\nDesired Qualifications\n\nCompleted coursework in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or related field\n\nProgramming experience in Java, C++, Rust, Python, and/or TypeScript\n\nFamiliarity with designing and implementing GUIs\n\nFamiliarity with web development, modern collaborative software tools, data structures, and algorithms\n\nExcellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability\n\nPrior quantitative research experience\n\nPosition Location: Reston, VA\n\nMetron is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
