Thermal Hydraulics Engineer

Piper Maddox have partnered with a start-up in the advanced nuclear space who are quickly scaling their engineering team. One critical hire they are looking to make is a Thermal Hydraulics Engineer role.In this role, you will lead the design, simulation, prototyping and procurement of multiple thermal hydraulic systems. You will also perform design, FEA and CFD simulations, develop document design, hardware specs, interface requirements and procurement documents. You'll work closely with the nuclear engineering team to optimize core design and other teams responsible for designing the core and core vessel internals.To be considered, you will ideally have:A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field5+ years relevant experience.Background in thermal hydraulics.Experience with CFD code to model heat transfer in nuclear systems.STAR-CCM+ experience is a plus.A salary up to $180k is on offer coupled with equity, bonus and other benefits.
