This rewarding position will involve interacting with suppliers, employees, manufacturing processes, products, and customers. The Process Engineer will make tangible improvements in the areas of safety, quality, cost, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead process improvement project teamsProvide technical troubleshooting to solve process and product problemsPerform periodic reporting and deliver presentations of key project updates, performance metrics, action items and resultsKey results of position:Completed projects that measurably improve safety, quality, productivity and cost metricsServe as a facility-wide technical resource to provide general technical support to all departmentsAssist in capital project justifications and installs as applicableCreate new process procedures and deliver related training as neededProfessional RequirementsBachelor of Science degree in EngineeringAbility to gather, organize, analyze, and interpret dataAttain certification in Lean Six Sigma improvement methodology within two yearsLead broad and complex project teams and initiativesAbility to act as a change agent achieving results with urgencyAble to effectively organize multiple projects and actions items simultaneouslyAble to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervisionClear and effective oral and written communication skillsProficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint, use of WestRock software systems)Ability to work on various other tasks/projects as required to support the success of the businessAbility to work nights and weekends occasionally as needed to support the operationTravel Requirement Estimate: 5 to 20% (As needed)Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 15 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
