Technical Inside Sales Support
Architectural & Commercial Lighting
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inside Sales Support professional to assist our sales team in the architectural and commercial lighting industry.
This role works closely with the VP of Sales to prepare project quotes, coordinate technical information, and manage sales documentation for lighting projects. The position plays a critical role in ensuring quotes are accurate, organized, and delivered quickly to customers and sales partners.
This is a non-commissioned, non-hunting role focused on execution, accuracy, and responsiveness in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quoting & Sales Support
Prepare lighting quotes including:
Custom fixtures
Multi-line project bids Alternate and value-engineered options
Manage quote revisions and updates Coordinate pricing inputs with the VP of Sales and ownership Maintain quote accuracy and version control Prepare bid summaries and documentation for internal review
Technical Coordination
Coordinate with engineering regarding:
Fixture feasibility
Custom product modifications Technical project requirements
Assist with preparation of: Cut sheets
Submittals Product documentation
Support compliance documentation such as UL, ETL, DLC, and Title 24 (documentation support only)
Customer & Sales Support
Respond to customer and sales representative inquiries related to:
Product specifications
Quote details Project revisions or alternates
Assist the VP of Sales with customer follow-ups Help coordinate communication between sales, engineering, and operations
CRM & Sales Systems
Maintain accurate CRM records for:
Quotes
Revisions Opportunity stages
Ensure quote documentation and project files are properly organized
Support the company’s transition from Salesforce and QuickBooks to Odoo
Qualifications
Experience in lighting, electrical products, construction supply, or technical manufacturing preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple quotes and projects simultaneously Comfortable working with technical product information Strong communication skills when coordinating across teams Experience using CRM or ERP systems is a plus
Preferred Experience
Architectural or commercial lighting industry experience
Experience preparing project-based quotes Familiarity with construction drawings or lighting specifications Experience working with architects, contractors, or lighting designers
